After a hard term of training, I’m very pleased to say that the Men acquitted themselves excellently come Torpids. M1, although rowing over twice, managed to hold off University M1 throughout the four days and triumphantly over-bumped on the second day. In a very competitive cluster of boats, that was a record to be proud of, though with plenty of room for improvement in Summer VIIIs. M2, on the other hand, left themselves little room for improvement, quickly bumping on every day and winning blades. As if that wasn’t enough, they also bumped up a division to Division 4, and it looks like that performance will only be repeated in VIIIs.
